 The spray system we have created is removable. It is an option and is not sold with the Max. We have three different models of the Max out in the field. One has your Cobra System, as you know. One has our spray system. One has no spray system. Each of the operators swears they would not run the Max any other way. Their way is the best and they have a list of logical reasons to back them up. The Max stands alone and the spray system will remain optional.
That being said, it is unlikely a customer would want to remove the whole spray system and add it back over and over. It could be done, but would take valuable time. Certainly we can install a quick release for the spray nozzle, as you have, if our customers wish it. The Max is designed for commercial work and the Challenger is designed for primarily residential. Certainly the spray nozzle can be mounted on the deck or the motor. Certainly the spray nozzle can be mounted with one nozzle or two. We opted to use one nozzle knowing that two nozzles tend to have an overlap that causes too much cleaner to concentrate in the area of overlap. We opted to mount the nozzle on the motor because the nozzle would spray a wider area if mounted further from the carpet surface. Given the options, the customer can choose where they wish to mount the spray system.
The tank holds four gallons of cleaner and, given the design of the Max, the tank can be safely tipped to pull the pad off the base if it is not quite full. We need to check how full it can be while tipped safely and get back to you. The tank is bolted to a bar spanning the handle of the Max. The tank can be unbolted and removed, should the customer wish to do so.
Our spray system will be an easy option for the average customer to add to the Max, or the Challenger, whenever they are ready to add it. The wires for the spray system are a very easy connection for the customer. Our spray system will come with complete step by step instructions.
The Challenger weighs 68 pounds with the 1/2 hp motor, and 74 pounds with the larger 3/4 hp motor. The Max weighs nearly 100 pounds. When you add 3 gallons of cleaning solution in the spray tank, the liquid would add 25 pounds. If time is money, only the carpet cleaner can decide if the additional weight of the spray system is worthwhile in time saved.
The Max is designed to run with the wheels on the floor. It is what the cleaning industry calls a "stationary op machine."
